Coffee

Well I had my first coffee from Starbucks. I do not like coffee and I guess I just wanted one. Who knows, but now it is 12:45pm and still not tired. I guess that explains alot. Ha. It was a white moca or something. I don’t even know the lingo. But it was not too bad. Oh well big week up a head, tests, quizzes and papers. All the fun stuff. Prayers accepted.

Well school at Union has been going good. Pretty neat stuff we are learning. There seems to be a hint of arrogance for some Christian Studies majors. Hey maybe I just see it and it’s not really there. But I pray that I do not think I know more than someone, well, because I don’t. I know I am learning a lot, but I never want to get to a place where I know everything and do not want to be receptive to someone’s teaching.
Today I had a meeting for a group of men meeting together called “Man Up”. There was a pretty good sized group of men there and it is a time for us to study the Bible together, in a small group and individual. We will get curriculum to help us study the Bible personally and guide us through some of the men of the Bible and what they did and what they didn’t do. Lee Wilson, who is the one who got this together, said he was furious that when students turned in Life Group leader applications, that most of them were girls. And that got me thinking about churches and what I see when it comes to leaders. Sometimes you have to let women that there are not enough places for them to help out, but when it comes to the men, you have “twist” there arm for them to help out. It seems that men are not man-ing up to do what they need to do to be a leader.
This seems like it is going to be a great couple of weeks. I pray for all those men in the group that they will experience God and what it is to be a christian man.
